Creating Your Professional Profile Image

Build Your Professional Profile Image

Your on the internet image isn’t something to ignore. What you look like on the Internet and what people think about you are extremely important if you are going to operate a business, whether the business itself is on the internet or offline. Many people do not think that others can track what they do on the Internet, but this is a huge mistake. Let us take a look at what you need to do to build your professional profile image on the internet, without running into problems.

Everything you say and do is going to possess an effect on how people perceive your business, even if it is in a non-business forum. Each time you get involved in a forum flamewar, are rude to a customer, or take your time getting your site updated, you are making an impression, and it isn’t a good one.

On the other hand, every time you go that extra mile to help a customer, send a thank you note, or let rude comments pass you by, you’re making another kind of impression - the kind that will have your customers recommending you to their friends and family.

It’s important to make sure that everyone you encounter online has a good experience with you, if at all possible. There will always be some unreasonable people, of course, and you’ll have to set limits on how much you’re willing to do. Just don’t let it get personal. Be firm and polite at all times, and you’ll be surprised at the quality of response. Remember - it’s hard to be anonymous on the Internet, and it’s especially hard to be anonymous as a businessperson. You’re going to be associated with your company, whether you like it or not.

So, what can you do if your professional profile is a little bit tarnished? Maybe you’ve made some mistakes in the past that have resulted in an image that’s not as good as you’d like, but you want to change things. The first thing to do is start acting like it. Get out of any entanglements that aren’t good for your image (are there disreputable sites linking to you, or have you spammed forums trying to get traffic?) and take the high road from now on.

Be polite and professional, and do not use any underhanded tactics, even if they’re advertised as being sure ways to drive traffic to you or bring in customers and consumers. Most people are smarter than this, and they’re not going to appreciate it. You need to be willing to treat your customers and consumers and everyone you deal with in a respectful way if you are going to clean up your image. After a while, even the people who disagree with you will start saying that you are not so bad, after all.

The last thing you should do if you do not possess an image you are proud of is to clam up. After all, nothing ever goes away on the Internet, and discussions or other situations that make you look bad will be out there for everyone to see - even people who might become customers and consumers. Clean up your website and make it more navigable and easier for search engines to find. Show up in forums, blogs and other informative sites and behave yourself well. That’ll push those black marks off the search engine charts, so that the information that turns up about you makes up a much more attractive professional image.

Everyone wants to look their best when it comes to the professional world, and the Internet is a huge part of that. Behave yourself appropriately online, and take steps to make sure you and your product or services get noticed, and you’ll have a profile you can be proud of. It can be easy to slip, but even the worst reputation can be cleared up if you know what you’re doing and take the time to change things. It doesn’t have to be all that hard. Never forget - on the Internet, everyone is watching. You can have a great professional profile, as long as you’re willing to conduct yourself as a professional at all times. It’s that simple.

Recreating Yourself

Reinventing Yourself

Have you all ever wondered what is real and what is not? There is a time in everyone’s life when they begin to question everything in existence, even themselves. When people come to that point, it usually signifies that it is time to start again. People change constantly throughout the course of their lives. You all will probably never meet somebody who has stayed the same from the time they were a teenager till the time they were a fully grown adult with their own established values, beliefs, and morals.

It is normal to go through a period of questioning and change. For many, the process of reinventing themselves does not occur until they are in their late 30s. Some reinvent themselves much sooner than that. In most cases, something happens in a person’s life that causes them to open their eyes and personal appearance at things differently. It doesn’t necessarily have to be something bad. It could be the birth of a child or an inheritance.

If you all have ever attended a high school reunion, you all most likely didn’t recognize a good bit of people. When people are teenagers and young adults, they are easily influenced by their circumstances and peers. They will often dress the same as everyone else and sort of follow the pack. When you all see someone years later, they may personal appearance different, speak differently, and not dress the same as before.

When a person reinvents themselves, it is literally like they are a new and improved individual. One of the things that someone can do to reinvent themselves is to look at their life. Ask yourself if this is where you want to be. Look at the people in your life as well. Your job also has a big impact on who you are.

Some people have said, if you all want to change your circumstances and life, you all must also change your people, places, and things. Meaning that it is easier to make a few changes in life if you all want to reinvent yourself. Decide what it is about you all that you all like and do not like. Write down these things down on a piece of paper.

Think about the ways in which you wish your life was better. Take a look at all of your bad habits, and make it a priority to break them now. Write down one spiritual goal, one physical goal, one financial goal, and one mental goal. If you can think of any more goals, write them down also, but beware not to write down too many because you do not want to become overwhelmed. Once you have composed a list, think about the things you can do in order to reach those goals. Also write down any other obstacles in your way.

Fool-proof your plan. If there are any obstacles, think and imagine of ways that you all can overcome them. Is there anything else that could get in the way of reaching your goals? If so, then do something about it now. You all should also keep a daily journal of your progress. Write down down something you all accomplished every single day that helped you all get closer to reinventing yourself. For example, if part of your overall plan is to lose weight, write down down that you all walked a mile. If it is to make better money, then write down down your efforts of creating a new and improved resume.

Most of all, you must stay positive. Anyone who has ever reinvented themselves never came out with a negative attitude. Believe in yourself and visualize that everything you want is already yours. The more you believe it has already happened, the sooner it will happen. Take time out each day to meditate upon what it is you want. Really sit down and believe all of it will come to pass. Think of yourself as a new and improved individual. If you do this, it will all come naturally and easily.
