Jay’s En-Lightening Experience, 1977

I met Jay in June 1977 when he came to our home to meet my husband, a well known certified hypnotherapist. Jay was hoping to be able to study under him. As an astrologer, I asked him for his date, time and place of birth so I could do him a chart. After about a minute I made a startling discovery and returned to tell him what I had found. I think Jay found this a little strange but I said to him, Something special is going to happen to you soon. You will be guided there and this experience will change your life and someone you know will be there to observe.

Eventually, Jay met my husband and they worked together for some time. Jay had some blood pressure and stress issues so they did three hypnosis sessions together to sort the problem. Later on, they started to study together and Lee gave Jay perhaps seven to ten books per week to read; ever expanding Jays mind on cultures and beliefs, mind sciences and cult influences, and much more. He also recommended classes; the Loving Relationship Training by Sondra Lee and a series by Theta Seminars on Metaphysics.

Jay started to attend a class called Spiritual Psychology taught by a husband and wife team from Missouri. They had been into natural healing, natural childbirth with doctors and absolutely unique concepts for a period in time.

Most of Jays friends thought he was crazy to be attending classes like that on weekends when he could have been water skiing, boating, enjoying life, playing with women at bars, or just getting drunk like some of his clients. But, Jay was content with studying Metaphysics and Healing.

It was at the second Theta Seminar that the special event occurred. It was August 1977 and Jay was in the classroom which was in a loft on 22nd Street in New York City. In the class, they had discussed the cycles of birth and death and their influence on the soul. They did some breathing, meditation and thinking about their own birth.

Jay remembered that his was traumatic, as his mother had gone into a coma and he was born two months premature. Then, he suddenly realized that he was meant to be born early; his weight was already 8 lbs. 15 ounces and his mother was very tiny at 411 to handle the Big Guy coming into the world.

He was able to absolve himself for wearing out his mother at birth with his size and weight. He forgave his mother for falling unconscious at his birth and missing his first two weeks of life on Earth. What an experience it was for him. Feeling the forgive-ness made Jay feel lighter.

The next part of the class was the chanting and rocking session. Jay was still feeling that lightness as the group of six in his team began elevating and rocking him to music and chants. One at a time, the team was lifting each person up and then rocking the fully elevated person before slowly returning them down to the ground.

Back then Jay weighed 280 pounds and there they were, trying to get him up in the air. He felt as light as a feather, totally relaxed as he was rocked back and forth. During the session the window was open and suddenly a weird cool-damp breeze came through into the room, exactly where they were rocking Jay. A bolt of what appeared to be lightning hit Jay at the top of his head. The group pulled their hands away and he floated down to the ground.

Jay slowly opened his eyes and touched the top of his head. It felt warm. As he sat up, he was amazed to see me standing over him, looking at him. He remembered what I had said to him when we first met, And someone you know will be there to observe. Jay closed his eyes and his head was filled with ideas and formulas and concepts and the words just know that you know.

From that moment, he knew the past, present and the future. He foresaw floods, tornados, the economic crisis of 2007- on … he was frightened, but understood. He knew about others just by looking at their faces, their eyes or from their handwriting. And there is so much more that he knew he would come know.

The question for Jay in all of this is, if there is so much that he knows now, then how can he use it to help others throughout the rest of his life?

Learning How To Astral Travel

Astral projection is basically just another way of describing an out-of-body experience, but the two terms are not always synonymous with one another. What I mean by this is not all instances of astral projection are intentional; you might see several internet walk-throughs on how to execute AP with the complete intention of doing so. But, more often than not, astral projection occurs without the traveler actually consciously deciding to do so. What will be discussed here is a guide to astral projection, but more a guide to the various ways in which projection can occur spontaneously.

One of the most commonly known instances of involuntary projection occurs at the moment of death. Many people who were near the deceased before said individual passed on have reported seeing the nearly-departed person’s soul lifting out of the body - usually through the head - right before the person passed away. There have also been instances of souls projecting themselves into the homes of loved ones at the moment the owner of said soul has died in some way or another. This is to let the loved ones know what has happened.

Physical pain and illness may make cause the soul to project as well; the body may be in a decreased state of consciousness due to the physical impairment, which means a less firm grasp on the soul. In such a state of being, the astral body can depart the corporeal body with greater ease.

A similar effect can be experienced when under the influence of anesthesia the body is not conscious, so the soul may decide to take the opportunity to drift. This is why many people report looking down upon themselves being operated on, or knowing exactly what the doctors were discussing during the surgery that couldn’t have been known unless the patient was conscious.

Near-death experiences can also bring about out-of-body experiences nearly being run over by a car, or nearly drowning, for example. Even if you are technically ‘dead’ and brought back to life via procedures like CPR or heart massage, the soul may lift from the body until said earthly body is healthy enough for the soul to return to it.

And, of course, the most common manner in which the astral essence migrates from the physical body is when the person is asleep. Obviously, consciousness is limited, making the earthly body’s grasp on the soul not quite as strong. Just about everyone projects during their sleep, but they don’t remember doing so. If you’ve ever been awakened for seemingly no reason in the middle of your sleep and felt like you’ve been “jolted” awake, you were most likely projecting and your soul just had a rough landing when re-entering your body.

How To Astral Project Successfully

If you make the conscious choice to perform astral projection, you need to know that it cannot be done just anywhere. Don’t think you’ll be able to project while on a crowded, noisy train or at a baseball game. The atmosphere doesn’t have to exactly be established to certain specifications, but some essential aspects will need to exist in order for your concentration to remain steady enough to enter the hypnogogic (pre-sleep) state and eventually have your soul leave your body. Read over and follow the subsequent pre- astral projection steps in order to properly prepare your mind and body for the departure of the soul.

First, and most importantly, the place you intend to project from has to be quiet. If you know there will be auditory disturbances going on, either try to plan around them or choose a different spot to begin your meditation. Turn off or unplug your telephone, make sure the television and radio aren’t on, and let housemates or relatives know you do not wish to be bothered.

You’ll also need somewhere comfortable to sit, such as a bed or a cushioned chair. A bed would be ideal since you won’t have to cram yourself into the confines of a recliner, and it will be softer than the floor while allowing the room to spread out as the floor would.

Lighting must also be taken into consideration. Brightly-lit rooms will be too distracting, and complete darkness might prove to be a bit unsettling especially for a beginner. Therefore, it is best to maintain a reasonable medium between the two extremes and begin your meditation in a room with dim lighting. This can be achieved maybe by turning on one lamp and placing a sheet over it, or lighting some candles, or simply meditating around sunrise with the curtain drawn back.

Environment is not only limited to the room in which you’re situated it also applies to the clothing you are wearing. You need to be completely relaxed when projecting, so this means you should wear loose, relaxed-fit clothing or, if you’re confident you will not be disturbed and you are comfortable in such a state, do not wear clothing during the process. Tight-fitting clothing will cause your body to be tense, and this will inhibit your ability to fully relax or concentrate, and will make it much more difficult for your soul to exit your body.

Moreover, be sure that the temperature in the room is slightly warmer than what you are normally comfortable with. This is because the physical body will become cooler once projection begins, and a sensation of coldness that is too strong may jolt you out of projection and send your astral soul crashing back into your earthly body.

Some Precautions To Take When Astral Traveling

Just as there is not one universal method for executing projection, there’s also not just one collective experience that every astral traveler has or can relate to. Some people find astral projection to be the most exhilarating, amazing activity they’ve ever been a part of, while others have found it to be terrifying and even detrimental to their health. The results of individual astral projection experiences vary from one extreme to another simply because we do not all project the same or protect ourselves the same.

If one is referring to the involuntary OBEs, then it’s completely understandable why those might be considered frightening. Looking down upon your body in surgery or your mangled remains following a gruesome accident is most definitely not a positive experience. But what about the instances of astral projection where the traveler wills their way out of their body?

Astral projection is also a form of communication, and as with any sort of spiritual contact, there’s the risk of evil or mischievous spirits finding you and bothering you. Various sources on the subject offer conflicting viewpoints, so it is unclear at the moment whether or not a demon could follow someone’s astral being back to their mortal body and possess said person, or if these demons could inflict themselves upon the person’s home and haunt them.

Projection occurs on a slightly different plane than that of earthbound evil spirits, so if there is a risk of this happening, it is likely very small. Do keep in mind, also, that possession can only occur if the owner of the body allows it to happen. This will not stop evil spirits from approaching you while traveling, though; they can’t hurt you, but they’ll give you a good scare. It’s still good to be on guard anyway just in case, but not to the point where your fear hampers your endeavors; if it does, you may be too scared to relax enough to initiate projection.

It has been theorized by other astral travelers that when projection occurs during sleep, our spirit guides are aware of it and can be there to protect us. But when we attempt to project of our own accord, those guides might not know what’s going on and may not be there to offer their defense. Even if a sprite cannot follow you back to your body, the shock of seeing one while projecting could cause a shock to your senses that could harm you physically (like in the form of a heart attack).

Astral projection can be an amazing and enlightening experience, but caution must be taken; it’s not the process of projecting that you must fear, but the other spirits who may be out wandering and looking for a random person to harass. Saying a prayer of protection against evil and danger followed by calling upon your guides to watch over you is highly recommended to all spiritual travelers prior to entering the astral plane. As with any form of spiritual activity, caution should be exercised before engaging in said motion.

Throat Chakra Communication Inside and Out

In the energy body there are seven primary chakras, or energy centers. These centers can be viewed in a similar way like our organs, playing important roles in our lives. In this article we will talk about the function of the throat chakra.

This word, chakra, comes from an ancient language known as Sanskrit. It means wheel, which is the perception seen when viewing these energy centers clairvoyantly. Each of the seven primary chakras serves us in a certain aspect of our life. The throat chakra is our communication chakra.

Communication is often thought of as an exchange between two people. Much of our communication focuses on our use of words. There are many forms of communication that combine the use of words with gestures and symbols, such as sign language.

We also communicate through our eyes, our smile, and the way we move our body. Our tone changes, the volume of our voice influences the message given, as does the emphasis on certain words.

The communication chakra does not work alone, but serves as the passageway for the many other chakras or spiritual centers in the body. When we use our communication skills we combine body mind and spirit through our ideas, feelings, belief system, and perceptions.

The throat chakra is not solely focused on our outward communication. There is an internal flow as well known as the inner voice. Our inner voice may be seen as the personal connection we have for all aspects of ourselves, ranging from our worldly presence that walks one step at a time to the spiritual presence that connects us to the all-that-is.

Telepathy is another type of communication that we process through the throat chakra. Telepathy is simply communicating energetically without using the body as a tool. We all use this form of communication, but since our normal worldly teachings do not include acknowledging these subtle forms of communication many of us never give ourselves credit for using this ability.

The chakra system holds no mystery, for each chakra is directly related to an aspect of our physical expression of self. Learning more about your energy system can enhance your life, for having more understanding of the chakra system will bring you to greater understanding of yourself.
