Seth Macfarlane, Mike Henry and Richard Apparel created the Cleveland Show an animated series as a spin off from Family Guy. This American animated series first premiered on September 27, 2009. The first season contained 22 episodes while the second season also had 22 episodes making the total number of episodes as 44.
The Cleveland show has been produced by 20th century FOX television in association with Fuzzy Door productions. The audience response has neither been totally positive nor has it been totally negative for the show. The previous episodes of the show can be watched online on a number of websites and at some places it can be downloaded and viewed.
It is always a matter of interest who are the voices behind the characters in an animated series. Cleveland and Rolla are show’s two main characters and they have been given voice by Mike Henry. The voice of characters which appear once in a while on the show is also provided by Henry. Donna, the wife of Cleveland has been given voice by Sanaa Lathan who did not have much to show on dubbing front before this show.
Mike Henry has given voice to two of the main characters of the show, Cleveland and Rolla. Sanaa Lathan did not have much of an experience to show in dubbing but she has dubbed for the character of Donna and has done quite well.
Nia Long dubbed the character of the step daughter of Cleveland, Roberta in the first season but Reagen Gomez took over from second season onwards. Kevin Michael Richardson has dubbed for Cleveland Jr. as well as his next door neighbor Lester Krinklesac.
The Cleveland show has been popular and there are certain websites on which the various episodes can be seen. Downloading of shows can also be done from certain sites.The popularity of the show can be gauged from the fact that in the 36th People’s Choice awards it was nominated in the category of best new TV comedy.
The nomination of the show in the category of best new TV comedy at the 36th People’s Choice awards clearly shows that the show has been liked by a large part of the people. The things that are always present in Marcflane’s show are present in this show as well. This includes offensiveness, randomness, musical elements and colorful characters. Whether the Cleveland showis as successful as the other shows of Marcflane, will only be answered later.
