Traffic is key for your site to be useful; owning a website and not having anyone look at it is useless unless you are still building the site and do not want to expose it to the world yet. There is no point in owning a site and not having traffic, because the point of a website is to provide information, services or help to people that arrive at your site.
Traffic is key to a good site, but not the most important thing. Content is key to a good site. You can be ranked high on a search engine and get a lot of traffic, but it could not mean anything because your site is worthless. You could have a site that is barley known, but has a good service or information and start to get a lot of people to the site because of the content. People talk and they will pass the word on about the site because of the helpfulness.
Getting ranked high on Google or any other search engine is fairly simple. Links is the key to getting ranked high. The more links you have the better you will be ranked. If a site links to you, it usually means they feel your site is valuable is some way. You can also build links by posting in forums, writing articles with you link at the bottom and adding your URL to directories.
Adding content to your site is very important at the start of your site. If you have a lot of good content that relevant to your site. Also a service with your site is key to success. Having your site complicated and hard to navigate. People will get turned off and not return. Having an easily navigational site will boost your traffic and keep your visitors happy.
A nice design will also attract visitors to your site. A design fitted for the type of visitors that visit your site is key. Do not put a girly appearance to a wrestling or sports site. A good slogan or motto will catch everyone’s attention and is how McDonalds and Subway have so much business.
Putting all of these tactics together you can have a successful and great website. A combination of content, appearance, slogans, links and advertising will make your site great. If you need help with your site feel free to visit my site at http://vhypio.com or contact me at vhypio@yahoo.com.
