Your big day is coming. How do you plan, prepare, make sure that it is perfect? You have many things to consider, many things to think about: colors, arrangements, traditions. Do not do it all yourself. Get help.
Financing The Wedding
The old rule of the bride’s parents pay for the wedding is just that, old and outdated. The new and improved, smart and practical way to finance a wedding is that everyone chips in. The only downside is that everyone that invests in your wedding has a say.
Your Wedding Invitations
Wedding invitations are an important part of planning a wedding. Do not just invite whomever to your big day. It is too much of a risk, a roll of the dice, a cross your fingers situation.
You do not want some stranger ruining your big day. Keep it simple. Invite guests and allow them to bring their significant other. The only exception would be a friend that won’t know anyone at the wedding.
Wedding Gifts
Now on to the wedding gifts. It is customary to bring a gift for the bride and groom. And if you don’t want to end up with 20 toaster ovens, 3 bread makers, and a homemade quilt from grandma you better register for what you want.
Ask for things that both you and hubby will enjoy. Ask for a pair of skiis and hotel reservations and take hubby on a smoky mountain honeymoon. Hot, hot, hot!
The Wedding Dress
It all begins with the wedding dress. Should you go traditional white? Well, if an old-fashioned wedding is your goal, go right ahead. But know this, there are more colors than white for your centerpiece.
How bouts a berry red flapper dress? Want to go all out? Add a silverfish slinky sheath to a blank pant suit. Your imagination should be your guide. Be creative. Be bold. Give him something to remember.
