Youth Obesity, An Ever-Increasing Problem

Obesity is an incredibly important and serious issue in itself, however in particular adolescent obesity is a matter which needs to be taken into consideration. The rates of adolescent obesity have skyrocketed, particularly over the past few years in particular, and it is so alarming that we need to find solutions for this problem immediately.

Some interesting facts about the adolescents who suffer from obesity

The studies published overwhelmingly reveal that adolescents , as well as younger children, have lower activity levels than ever before. This fact is unsurprising, since the lifestyles in today’s society are more sedentary than they’ve ever been.

Also, certain segments of the adolescent and younger population are at even higher risk for obesity, due to documented differences in physical activity levels. As an example, boys are more active than girls in general, and children become less active as they grow into their teenage years. These simple facts tell us a lot about obesity in adolescents, and may provide us the answers we need to stop it.

Health Complications

The range of health problems arising from adolescent obesity is staggering. Some of the many health issues with obesity can cause include: heart disease, hypertension, both breast and colon cancer, non-insulin dependent diabetes, sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, and even possible death.

Another disease which we frequently see resulting from obesity is diabetes. Children and adolescents have an additional risk, as diabetes strikes them more frequently than it does adults. Still other medical problems which obesity dramatically increases risk for include the above mentioned cardiovascular disease, infertility, urinary stress incontinence, and osteoarthritis.

Other Complications

The problems which come with obesity go further than health related problems. Typically, adolescents and children suffering from obesity will be impacted negatively in social areas, as well as academics. All of this leads to a lowered self esteem, and it’s not uncommon for the obese kids to even have less job opportunities after they leave school.

Obesity is very obviously a severe issue in our society today, and it’s hurting our children and adolescents especially badly. Since we know what the problem is, it’s our next step to face it head on and find solutions. If we can find a way to prevent childhood and adolescent obesity, we will save a great deal of health and other problems for the kids of today.

Keyword Research And Its Power Over Your Market

One it is easy as can be to find what your target market is searching for, and yes they come online to find you. The second is there is literally a market for everything if you find the correct keywords.

There are several methods to doing keyword research, I am going to tell you exactly what I do because there are all these ebooks and scams out there to try to divulge some secret and there is no secret. I do fine using a very very very straightforward method. The first thing I want to say though is for your main website pick 3 main keywords, then make sub pages for any other keywords. Do not try to promote a single webpage for 25 keywords.

Now I go to Google and search for keyword tool. The first result is the Google Tool and the 2nd result is the wordtracker tool. Both give you like numbers which you want, but I just use the Google one. It is part of adwords and it works. I make money online, and I use it.

Once you are in type in what your product is and then find some keywords. Here is what I look for. I look for one that has over 1 million searches (if your market is that big) and I place it on a pedestal. Best case scenario is I rank number one for that keyword. Then I assume I am not going to and I set it aside. Now I look for a keyword that maybe contains that keyword but are 3-5 words that also has between 30,000 and 130,000 searches. That is my main keyword. Then I pick 2 more that have about 100,000 searches. I then make sub pages for any word over 30,000 and I build my links.

That is how you hit everyone in your market. I just told you how to do exceptional keyword research in a paragraph, not in an entire ebook. Now put your keywords in your TITLE tags on your website, so many people dont do this. Scrap your company name, it isnt going to make you the money, put your keywords in the title. Now build links with anchor text that is the same as your keywords, soon you to will make a lot of money on the internet.

It is very vital that the students’ development are moulded and guided well by the appropriate persons such as the teachers. But if such persons fall short in their responsibility, then the future is unclear for these students.

The quality of education in the United States is swarmed with numerous unresolved issues such as the incompetence and malpractice of educators. A Second Chance - Miracle of Travis Ristig

I want to share with you an amazing story about a young man who nearly lost his life several times and yet today stands taller than most because of his battle and will to live. It all began late one chilly night in October at a fine dining establishment where he worked. He felt a pop in his back as he was walking down the stairs to the wine cellar. Two weeks later the pain had increased significantly enough to disable him from any future work.

This was only the beginning of his troubles. After three separate misdiagnoses from different doctors, a crisis brought the answer. For the second time in one week, he was rushed to the emergency room. This time he got the answers he needed. The doctor who saw him was astounded he had been prescribed fifteen to eighteen thousand ml of Vicodin daily for pain relief and quickly ordered a blood test. Finally, he understood why he had been unable to walk for the past three days. He had leukemia and a tumor growing on his spine was gradually paralyzing him. Later, doctors revealed that he was only two days away from complete and permanent paralysis.

Because the cancer had spread throughout his body so rapidly doctors immediately administered several rounds of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, this would cause what is known as septic shock! Two areas of his large intestine were causing him to bleed to death. Doctors would not operate as his chances of survival were at best 5%, but taking no action would result in death undoubtedly. Dr. Coustoufides took the challenge and removed all 6 feet of his large intestine beating the odds and ultimately saving his life. This in part contributes to the miracle of Travis Ristig!

It wasnt too long after this surgery, however, that Travis suffered a cardiac arrest during which three Code Blues were declared as medical personnel tried to revive him. His troubles were not over. His leukemia needed to be treated along with the spinal tumor which required more additional radiation and chemotherapy which was so debilitating the poor guy ended up in the ICU (intensive care unit) for six appalling weeks. The average stay in the ICU is only two days. When he lapsed into a coma lasting eight days, his family was almost at breaking point. Fortunately, The Man upstairs was looking after him and yet again he beat the odds against him, coming out of the coma on the eighth day. This is one more part of the miraculous life if Travis Ristig!

Travis experienced a complete remission three months later and was released from the hospital. His troubles were not over, however, with his cancer returning only nine months after that. When cancer patients relapse, survival rates diminish by about fifty percent. Doctors agreed to perform a bone marrow transplant but their patients uncommon blood type made this difficult. They had to opt for a generic transplant which had only half the chance of success and made recovery a great deal more difficult. In fact, survival rates for this type of transplant tended to be at the lower end of fifteen to nineteen percent. Still, Mr Ristig fought the battle of his life and did not give up despite the overwhelming obstacles he had already come up against and still had to face.

Not only are his chances minimal at this point they dwindle more due to the type of transplant. Having a rare blood type and over 2 million unsuccessful searches for a bone-marrow match he is forced to a transplant that is 50% less effective and more difficult in recovery. Despite all these challenges and extremely low percentages he has managed to survive with a fantastic attitude.

Believe it as it has come to be, adding in part to the miracle of Travis Ristig, the bone-marrow transplant was a success and he has made a complete recovery. Despite all the challenges and low percentages given by teams of doctors he has persevered through so much and yet has only begun. Three years later after regaining complete physical challenges and mental obstacles (from mass doses of chemo) he has conquered entrepreneurship through online marketing, a feat in and of itself (97% of online marketers fail)! He is extremely successful as a team leader earning over $240,000 in his first year alone.

Of course, as well as the big challenges Travis faced, he also had to deal with countless battles on a daily basis, like learning to walk once again because his muscles had atrophied. I would like to offer my thanks to Travis and his family for allowing me to interview them and sharing with me their story.
