You know, most of us relate to true love like it is an emotion. A private inner feeling. And sometimes it is an inner feeling that we feel the need to protect or hide from the object of our love. Like if we express it we are vulnerable and we might get rejected or it might not be fully reciprocated.

But what if you looked at love like a lighthouse? A beacon to illuminate not just our life but the life of others? What if true love was meant to be given away as much as possible? A feeling that is supposed to be expressed in direct actions as often as we could, to light up the world around us?

True love is meant to be expressed. It is meant to be given away freely. It is not supposed to be just a private inner feeling. So when you feel true love in your life, find ways to act on it. Give it away. Shine its light into the world around you.

True love is best replenished by expressing it into direct action. If you are fortunate enough to feel some true love, find ways to express it directly. Show it off, shine it’s light into your world.

How can you express true love? One way is to practice committed listening. Listen to your mate with total focus. Make them feel heard and understood. Turn off your own thoughts and responses and listen to them deeply. This is a very generous and loving thing to give to another, the gift of committed listening.

Another powerful way to turn true love into action is with direct eye contact. Drink them in, looking them right in the eye, as you converse. The eyes are the windows to the soul. Amazingly, studies show that direct eye contact fades in relationships over time. Don’t just look at the area of the eyes, make direct eye contact and see how that feels for you and your mate.

And then of course a powerful expression of true love is touch. Not just sexual touch, but outside the bedroom. Just brushing their arm, giving hugs, these are direct expressions of affection that touch the heart easily.

Theres a lot more to expressing love, but listening, looking and touching are always a good foundation. Dont keep the light of your love under a bushel basket. Take it off and let it shine as often as you can, and see what a difference in makes in your ” and our ” world.

Are you stuck in front of your computer all day? If so, then you know how gritty that can make your eyes feel. But don’t despair, there is a way to use your computer all day and still have eyes that aren’t tired and strained. Here are a few easy ways to do that.

The majority of society today has to spend almost the whole week in front of a screen, forced through work, or voluntarily because we socialize that way. What most people don’t know though is, that too much time stuck to the PC can cause some serious defects to our eyes when we don’t take care of our precious sight.

Eyestrain is the most common complaint. Symptoms can include: red, watery or irritated eyes; tired achy, or heavy feeling eyelids; trouble focusing; eye muscle spasms; and headache. Changing the work environment, resting the eyes or wearing the proper glasses can often relieve these symptoms. We will talk about each one of these individually.

Adjusting Your Work Space

Get rid of your boss and get a new one… not really, it’s actually more important (at least most of the time) that you place your computer screen as far away from you as you usually hold your reading materials, at least! That usually equals a distance of 18 to 29 inches or so. Also, take care that the the monitor is positioned a touch lower than the plane of your eyes. Stuff you have to look at that’s not on the screen, hold up in some way and move it closer to you. Your eyes should adjust with distances as often as possible to keep them flexible.

Try to minimize light reflection and glare. You may need to move your desk so that bright lights are not in your field of vision. You can also change light bulbs to a lower wattage and get an anti-glare screen for over your monitor.

Remember when your mother told you not to read in the dark or you would ruin your eyes. She was right. Don’t use your computer in the dark either. The contrast between the light from the computer screen and the background light will strain your eyes.

Change your screen contrast settings to be easy on the eyes, and consider a bigger font size. Nobody will tell you that you are getting blind…

Rest Those Baby Blues Or Greens Or Browns

Take frequent breaks. If you’re in the workplace, just looking away for a few minutes will do. If you’re at home, schedule regular breaks and make sure you take them. Continued viewing of the screen will lead to eye fatigue and that gritty feeling. Keep your eyes lubricated by blinking frequently.

Most of us don’t do this when we’re focused on what we’re doing. How can you remember to blink? Put a sticky note at the top of your screen with REMEMBER TO BLINK written on it. If that doesn’t work or is too distracting, pretend your monitor is a person of the opposite sex and wink at it every so often use both eyes though.

Working With The Correct Type Of Glasses

If you wear glasses, you may need to change lenses when using the computer. Some people don’t normally wear corrective lenses but may need them for computer work. Check out pinhole glasses to make sure you aren’t straining your eyes by wearing the wrong lenses an eye doctor will talk you into.

To maintain great eye conditions is as important as maintaining a good heart. Thus, pay attention to eating a lot of yellow and orange vegetables. 5. Send cards or ecards. Get a box of inexpensive cards and take one afternoon a month to fill out cards and send them to anyone having a birthday, etc. You can also send ecards. They are not as personal, but if you must, they work, too!

The bottom line to getting a strong downline team is to communicate in every way that you can. You will find that your direct sales team members will stay with your company much longer when you’ve fostered a strong relationship by keeping in touch! Much success!
